Rare antique German 10-meter measuring tape housed in its original circular leather case. The case is embossed “BESTE LEDERKAPSEL” and retains its original brass and steel winding mechanism, leather strap and metric measuring tape.
A beautifully preserved example of early 20th-century German industrial design, combining functional engineering with an unusually refined leather case and mechanical construction. The warm patina of the leather and aged brass adds considerably to its decorative appeal.
