Elegant Scandinavian pendant lamp, model 546, designed by Uno & Östen Kristiansson for Luxus, Vittsjö, Sweden, circa 1960s.
The pendant features a beautifully elongated, tapering shade in opaline white glass, complemented by a sculptural turned teak upper section. The restrained combination of warm wood and softly diffusing opaline glass is characteristic of the refined Scandinavian lighting design of the period.
The exceptionally slender, almost drop-shaped silhouette gives the lamp a striking architectural presence while remaining understated and elegant. When illuminated, the opaline glass produces a warm and atmospheric light.
