Cesare Lacca – Italian Mid-Century Modern Walnut and Glass Coffee Table, 1950s

A sculptural Italian Mid-Century Modern coffee table attributed to Cesare Lacca, dating from the 1950s.

Crafted in richly toned walnut, the table features an elongated rectangular top with elegantly rounded corners and inset glass panels framed by a contrasting light-toned border. The beautifully shaped wooden frame is supported by four slender, tapered legs, while the distinctive curved end supports and central stretcher create a striking architectural silhouette.

The combination of walnut, transparent glass and fluid, sculptural joinery exemplifies the refined craftsmanship and organic elegance of Italian design of the period.

A distinctive and highly decorative piece, suitable for a sophisticated living room, a curated mid-century interior or a collection of Italian modernist furniture.
