The lamp shown is a floor lamp in the iconic Hollywood regency style of the 1970s, designed by the Italian-French designer Willy Rizzo.
This distinctive style combines polished chrome with brass or gold-toned panels in a sleek, architectural, and geometric form.
Lamps in this style were produced by the Italian company BD Lumica. The design is characteristic of Rizzo’s work, which conveys elegance,functionality, and a luxurious modernist aesthetic. The illustrated lamp is the floor lamp version of the well-known “skyscraper “style, which was also produced as a table lamp.
