Monumental 19th-Century French Bronze Horse Tamer After Guillaume Coustou
€ 2.450,00
19th-century patinated bronze after Guillaume Coustou’s celebrated Chevaux de Marly, originally created in 1743–1745 for the Château de Marly.
The dynamic composition depicts a powerful rearing horse restrained by a muscular, partially draped groom. The dramatic movement and finely rendered anatomy are characteristic of Coustou’s celebrated equestrian groups, now preserved in the Louvre.

The original reins are missing.
