French 19th-Century Patinated Figure of Napoleon Bonaparte on horseback
€ 1.850,00
Fine French late 19th-century patinated brass equestrian figure depicting Napoleon Bonaparte in military dress and bicorne, mounted on a horse with one foreleg raised.
The finely detailed figure retains a rich dark patina with warm golden brass visible at areas of natural wear. Mounted on a stepped rectangular brown marble base.
A handsome and decorative representation of Napoleon I, characteristic of the French taste for Napoleonic imagery in the late 19th century.
Circa 1880–1900.
