Striking French 19th-century solid bronze figure of Napoleon Bonaparte, depicted standing in full military uniform and bicorne, with his hand resting across his chest. The finely detailed figure is mounted on an elaborate bronze military trophy incorporating a cannon and cannonballs, symbolizing Napoleon’s military career and imperial power.
The bronze has a rich natural brown patina and is mounted on a Siena marble base with distinctive golden-yellow veining.
A highly decorative Second Empire period Napoleon object, circa 1850–1870.
